Built by people who love the coast
Tide Times Today is a small, independent website. We built it because we couldn't find a simple, reliable tide times site focused specifically on the UK and Ireland — so we made one ourselves.
Our story
We're not a corporation or a tech giant. We're a small team with a genuine interest in the sea — whether that's fishing, sailing, walking coastal paths, or just wanting to know if the beach will be accessible when we visit.
Getting reliable UK tide information used to mean navigating clunky government tools or paying for apps that were far more complex than we needed. We wanted something clean, fast, and easy to use — with accurate data for every harbour, beach, and port around Britain and Ireland.
So we built it. Tide Times Today covers over 600 stations across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Each station has its own page with a 7-day forecast, tide chart, and a bit of local context about the place. We update the predictions daily.
It's a passion project, but we take accuracy seriously. The data comes from a professional marine API and is the same kind of information used by sailors and harbour masters. We just present it in a way that's useful for everyone — not just the technically minded.
What we care about
UK & Ireland, done properly
We focus on one region and try to do it well, rather than scraping data for thousands of locations worldwide and doing none of them justice.
Accuracy over flash
Tide predictions are safety-critical for some users. We use professional marine data and keep predictions updated daily.
Simple and fast
No apps to download, no accounts to create. Just search for your location and get the information you need.
Free, always
Tide times should be freely available to everyone. The site is supported by non-intrusive advertising so we can keep it free.
